Blindness


"Blindness" is an exploration of human nature, both bad and good people of selfishness, opportunism and indifference, but also its capacity for empathy, love and great perseverance.

It begins in an instant, like a blind man is beaten instantly while driving home from work, his world turned suddenly to a strange, milky haze.

One by one, each person is - his wife, his doctor, even the seemingly Good Samaritan who gives you a lift home - in time, suffer the same fate troubling.

As the contagion spreads, and panic and paranoia set in across the city, the new blind victims of "white disease" are rounded up and quarantined in a crumbling, abandoned mental asylum, where all semblance of ordinary life is beginning to break.
