A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) and who moved to his home in California dream when becoming a target of its next door neighbor, who disapproves of his interracial relationship.
A stern, single father, is well wound LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed itself the watchdog of the neighborhood.
His night patrols on foot and too watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but becomes increasingly harassing newlyweds.
These persistent intrusions into his life ultimately tragic turn when the couple decided to fight back.
